We wanted to create a community
cookbook. So we spent the next several months collecting recipes from our
residents. They were so proud to offer up recipes that they have been making
for years. Some recipes had been passed down from their Mother’s and
Grandmothers. Once we got together a stack of recipes we sent them off to our
designer and publisher to put it all together for us. She did a beautiful job!
It had lots of color and we called it “Recipes and Tasty Treats loving shared
by our residents” Once it was completed we used this cookbook as a marketing
tool. I gave it away as gifts to our area business owners along with our fliers
wrapped in a bow. We gave it away as move in gifts and we used it to show
future residents what a great community we have! The response was amazing and
we made sure our website address, phone number and address was clearly marked
on the cover. It was much more fun to hand out instead of a business card!
