Save The Date!

The first week of the month is my favorite time to connect. There are so many wonderful events going on that are both inspiring and educational. Here are a couple that I feel are the top two to attend.
First Friday in the Art District of Las Vegas is one worth seeing. It is a beautiful array of art pieces made by our local artists. There is a fantastic vibe that can only be explained as people coming together in a bold and creative way to share with the public what they have poured their hearts into. Vendors are set up as well as local musicians playing music on the streets. You are invited to explore the many galleries and just enjoy the creative items that are being displayed. What’s also great is that you can even take a painting class or catch a seminar by one of their many inspirational speakers. There are lots of wonderful people to meet and share ideas with at this event.
First Tuesday is another event that I feel is not only important to mention but detrimental to our city. This is a meeting put on by Metro Police Department. It’s held at 7:00 pm and they are always at the police department for your particular area. In this meeting Metro takes the time to go over a specific topic with you each month and there are questions and answer at the end. Actual Metro officers are there to lend advice and help you to understand the law and what role Metro plays in it. It is a way that Metro is being proactive in educating the public about what’s going on with crime in our city and ways to prevent it. You do not have to be an apartment manager to attend. Any resident may do so. It’s a great way to meet your neighbors and take an active role in your community.
